I just want the world to know how blessed I am. Blessed beyond anything I could ever deserve.
Last night at Judo I was pleasantly surprised to hear our lead instructor tell the older students about my 7 year old nephew Jackson. Jack had written an article for our Judo newsletter. In it he talked about how much he enjoys Judo and how this ministry has also helped strengthen his faith.
Now my daughter Jessica and I looked at each other with giant grins hearing the praise for our awesome little buddy Jack. Truth be told I almost had a tear roll down my cheek, almost.
Then later on that night Jessica was awarded her Orange Belt in judo. I was super proud of her. And I suppose that tear made its escape after all.
My older daughter works her butt off with a full time job and a full load of college plus she makes time to be active in her faith. She has an amazing work ethic and I am so proud of the woman she is becoming.
And my rehab on my knee is way ahead of schedule and I am recovering pretty well. I have an amazing Church I am honored to serve at and I am starting to teach Political Science, part-time, at MSSU next week. Yeah I get paid to talk about politics and religion; seriously does it get any better than that?
