A new name for arrogance

Obama challenged the GOP to end political brinkmanship and said Republicans should “win an election” if they so badly wish to change his policies.
Pretty sure that is why the House of Representatives is out of the hands of the Presidents party
Obama followed up by stating that the public is “fed up” with what government is doing.
Fed up does not even begin to cover it but I for one am fed up with this President abusing the American people when he wants to make a point. I am fed up with this Presidents abuse of authority. I am really fed up with the incredible lack of purpose in the Republican Party, the lack of direction and even worse the total lack of unity.
I do not expect the Republicans and Democrats to get along; hell I do not want them to get along. We have way to damn much unity between the parties as it is. We need more parties who are willing to disagree and fight for what they believe in. As long as the main belief is not that they need to remain in office.
He continued his speech by stating that if “You don’t like a particular policy or a particular president? Then argue for your position. Go out there and win an election,”
This line is a crock, obviously elections were won or the Democrats would still be in control of the House. How dare he make the statement about arguing a position when he is the one who refused to negotiate?
He blamed the Republicans for the shutdown. The House did its job, under and impressive lack of leadership from the Executive branch I might add. Since the House is tasked by the Constitution to pass the budget and in their arrogance they did, it is somehow on them that he refused it. Refused to even talk about it. Refused to offer a budget and refused to even look at what they did. Arrogance has a new name and it is Obama
Obama went on to argue that “nothing has done more to damage our standing with other countries than the spectacle we’ve seen the last three weeks,” which he continued had “encouraged” America’s enemies as a byproduct.
Nothing has done more to damage our standing in America than the Charlie Foxtrot that is this administration. The greatest encouragement to our enemies comes from this White House when he is willing to arm our enemies and refuses to stand with our allies. This President turned his back on our own consulate in Benghazi but within a week of a shopping mall in Kenya being attacked we had multiple Spec Ops hitting targets in Africa
Obama had the nerve to ask Congress to “stop focusing on the lobbyists and the bloggers, the talking heads on radio and the professional activists who profit from conflict”
Yes heaven forbid they listen to anyone outside the talking heads of the regime. Ignore the man behind the curtain and obey the mighty Obama. For heaven sake ignore those malcontent citizens whose opinions differ from Democrats.
Obama mentioned three priorities: a budget, immigration reform and a farm bill.
Obama mentioned a budget. Really, that is interesting considering he has not proposed one. Considering this year is the first time in 90 freaking years a president did not submit a budget to Congress. Immigration reform, let’s call it what it is, amnesty. How about enforcing the laws and punishing businesses that are using illegals to avoid following the law. How about rather than just opening our borders we enforce those “laws of the land” the President likes to tout as being so important. Or maybe he just wants the laws that are named after him to follow; obviously those are the only laws that matter.
And the Farm Bill, this process must be overhauled today. The Farm bill has somehow become all about damn near everything but the Farmers. There is so much crap in the Farm Bill that does not belong there it aint even funny.
Heaven help us cause government aint gonna do it. But then again they aint supposed too, I would be thrilled if Government would just do the things the Constitution and its subsequent amendments require it to do. Wow what a concept

I just want the world to know how blessed I am. Blessed beyond anything I could ever deserve.
Last night at Judo I was pleasantly surprised to hear our lead instructor tell the older students about my 7 year old nephew Jackson. Jack had written an article for our Judo newsletter. In it he talked about how much he enjoys Judo and how this ministry has also helped strengthen his faith.
Now my daughter Jessica and I looked at each other with giant grins hearing the praise for our awesome little buddy Jack. Truth be told I almost had a tear roll down my cheek, almost.
Then later on that night Jessica was awarded her Orange Belt in judo. I was super proud of her. And I suppose that tear made its escape after all.
My older daughter works her butt off with a full time job and a full load of college plus she makes time to be active in her faith. She has an amazing work ethic and I am so proud of the woman she is becoming.
And my rehab on my knee is way ahead of schedule and I am recovering pretty well. I have an amazing Church I am honored to serve at and I am starting to teach Political Science, part-time, at MSSU next week. Yeah I get paid to talk about politics and religion; seriously does it get any better than that?
Orange Belt 003

Just a quick recap of this day’s events

House offers bill to fund NIH, VA and Reservists. This would have helped many people in dire need. The Senate refused and then blamed the Republicans because cancer patients and others got turned away from new drug trials through NIH even though it was the Democrats in the Senate, i.e. Harry reed who refused to move the bill to fund those operations forward.

Of course had he moved them forward the President already said he would veto the spending to provide these vital services. Odd that a President who has repeatedly pulled an end around to get what he wants politically is now unwilling to do anything to get people the real help they need. He could have given a waiver to NIH; he could have agreed to sign the limited funding on legislation that might actually do some real good. He could have, the Democrats in the Senate could have. But they did not. They made the decision to leave drug trials hanging in the wind all for political gain. They then blamed the Republicans for this, yes the same folks who tried to get some funding going out there.

Once again Obama shows how compassionate he is and how much he cares about people in need in this country. His goal is all about his “legacy” his “Signature Legislation” his namesake “OBAMACARE”. Just once I would like the media to show these people for what they are. I don’t like most Republicans any more than I like Democrats but folks right now it is pretty damn sad when one side is willing to do even a little bit of something that would be good for everyone and the other side is not willing to.

Congress could have done good today. They chose not to, well Harry Reed and the Democrats in the Senate are real obstacle here. Guess maybe they are too busy working on a budget, ya know since it has only been four years since we have had one.

Ah The smell of politics in the morning

Truly this administration makes me sicker to my stomach than the last one. And I did not think that was possible. Guess that’s what I get for saying things like “well at least it can’t get any worse.”

Obviously I was mistaken. The White House and the Democrats in Congress stand with what must be the most arrogant attitude I have seen in a long time. I know to be a politician takes a certain level of egotism and arrogance but this is ridiculous.
I keep hearing on the news how Obama does not need to negotiate with the Republicans in Congress. Now just to remind folks those Republicans in Congress represent the people who sent them there, you know you and me. So what the President is really saying is that anyone who does not agree with what he wants can go take a flying leap. He does not care; his egotism is the type that leads to despotism, especially when surrounded by others like Reed and Pelosi, despotism just waiting to step toward tyranny. Do not kid yourselves if this administration thought for a second it could remove fire arms i.e. means of resistance, from the hands of those who disagree with it, they would. Hell they have tried.

This battle and subsequent shutdown are not just about the misguided power grab that is Obamacare. This is about how the minority in Congress continues to hold some level of power. I beg the members of Congress who are standing against this administration, please do not back down. Keep the fires going, keep the government closed. A few more days, 15 actually at this writing and the debt ceiling come up. Then the fires burn brighter and more political fodder is incinerated to the ash heap of bloated governmental egos.

Let this administration feel the heat, make them bend, not break, bend. Until this president at least understands he has to negotiate with Americans before he continues negotiating, oh and arming, criminals, terrorists and other enemies of America. This man’s attitude and potential for damage to this country is exactly why the Second Amendment to the Constitution must never be taken for granted.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled transmissions lol
